Well, its the first weeks of JULY 2008 and yes, we're still monitoring the goings on concerning the Great Crugmeer Farm buildings and other buildings in Crugmeer for any "new" planning applications.  One of our members noted in past months that yet another application is inbound...still no signs. We aren't much for unsubstantiated stories, but if one is submitted, we'll get the details to you, for sure. We're keen to see if the owner feels like he might want to communicate with both owners and leasers this time around. Communication is step one in egendering support. The Crugmeer Society will watch this with keen eyes and interest....".

Meanwhile, over in Padstow, the national real estate price deflation/crisis/correction is apparently gently occuring as second homes, and other such structures are fighting for buyers....national papers note the "southwest is softening as second home owners try to sell their houses"...hmmm.

For a full history of the previous planning controversy, visit the "Haven Chronicles" page. Meanwhile, we're looking forward to Easter when all the fans and friends of Crugmeer, from near and far, come to visit and renew old friendships.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a good map of the situation is worth a few million. Here's a map out-lining the sensitive scientific, cultural and historical landscape around Crugmeer...click on the image to take you over to the "Landscape" page for even more on this!
